This popular tour includes visits to gorgeous gardens around the area. Mottisfont Abbey is a National Trust Property set in a tranquil rural estate alongside the River Test. Kingston Maurward consists of a matrix of small themed gardens, tree trails, lakeside walks and walled garden. Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, is a magnificent 20 acre garden filled with exotic plants. Compton Acres, is a late Victorian Mixed Style design with Italian and Japanese Gardens. Knoll Gardens, winner of ten consecutive Gold Medals at Chelsea Flower Show is well-known for its ornamental grasses. Highclere Castle with its soaring pinnacled mansion is set in magnificent gardens with massive cedars, designed by ‘Capability’ Brown. We stay at the AA 3-star Days Hotel, Bournemouth (formerly named the Marsham Court Hotel), situated in a quiet central location, overlooking the bay, just a short stroll to the pier, beaches, gardens and town centre.
