Nothing quite says Spring is nearly upon us like the appearance of Daffodils. So why not celebrate the warmer weather and longer days being just around the corner as we visit Cambridgeshire’s beautiful village Thriplow for its annual Daffodil Weekend?
Ever since 1969, the village has opened private gardens to the public and today is one of the best-loved charity events in the region. Be among the thousands of visitors and amble through the village’s traffic-free lanes and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. There is usually plenty of craft stalls each year to pick up a unique gift, alongside some of the best local food producers and tea and home-made cake, plus vintage vehicles, Morris dancers, Heavy Horses, music and more.
All proceeds go to charitable organisations, and different varieties of daffodils are planted to ensure they’re prepared for all that the weather may throw at us!
Woods Tours have a day trip to Thriplow Daffodils on Sunday 19th March 2017. Please click here for more information or to make a booking.
