Bath Christmas Market & Longleat Festival of Light
The majestic city of Bath, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, welcomes visitors with beautiful relics from bygone days, and fine examples of Georgian façades and crescents which provide an inspiring backdrop to the bustling centre. The compact city will enthral you with architectural gems, fascinating attractions and characterful shops. The Christmas market is a traditional family event festooned with greenery and lights to create a magical ambience. Carol singers and street entertainment will be alongside the beautifully decorated wooden chalets, all adding to the festive atmosphere. Longleat’s Festival of Light is a magical affair. The estate is transformed into a glowing wonderland with a series of giant lantern displays, positioned around the formal gardens and the main square.
Day 1 Departure: 0730-0830 hrs. Travel to Longleat to see the magical Festival of Light. Best viewed when it gets dark, usual switch on time approximately 4pm-4:30pm, and takes a minimum of an hour to walk around. Also includes entry to Longleat House, the Main Square attractions, Safari Drive Through. Depart 6pm. Hotel check-in. Late dinner included at hotel.
Day 2 Breakfast. Depart hotel. Morning/early afternoon at leisure in Bath. One of England’s most beautiful cities. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tides of visitors have been enjoying this elegant and cultural city since the Roman times. Maybe explore one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world, the Roman Baths, discover architectural delights such as Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent, the Circus, and Pulteney Bridge, or take a look around the mix of sophisticated shops and diverse collection of museums. The award-winning Bath Christmas Market consists of over 200 twinkling chalets, set amongst the picturesque Georgian streets of Bath, selling handmade and local Christmas gifts. Depart mid-afternoon. Arrive home: mid-evening.
