Day Trips to Suffolk

Day Trips to Suffolk

Think of Suffolk landscapes and you might imagine quintessentially English seaside resorts with unspoilt backdrops of Georgian town houses and fishermen’s cottages. For a change of scenery, why not explore one of the most idyllic areas in England with us for a hassle-free day trip?

The allure of this fashionable resort is testament to its famous pier, upmarket independent shops, lighthouse and gorgeous Blue Flag beach decked out with brightly coloured beach huts. Adorned with traditionally English pastimes – from reputable tea rooms and cafés, to cosy pubs and a bowling green, plus an array of designer label shops to quirky stores – it’s the perfect place to simply while the hours away.

You might think Southwold takes the spotlight – but discover Aldeburgh and you’ll also find a pretty seaside town brimming with culture. Pastel-coloured cottages and Edwardian villas all sit within an area of natural beauty providing an ambient landscape. Browse the high street where there are clothes boutiques, antiques and arts, an independent book shop and more. Top places to visit include Aldeburgh fish and chip shop, considered by some as the best on the East coast – and or simply relax and enjoy the pebble beach.

Woods Tours have a day trip to Southwold on Sunday 20th August or Aldeburgh on Monday 21st August 2017.
